Apple Launches New DockKit-Accessing Phone Stabilizer Insta360Flow Series

This mobile phone stabilizer can directly call the iPhone's native camera and realize automatic tracking, front and rear lens switching with buttons, and zooming with the zoom dial under the iOS18 system.

It is learned that this product is the new AI mobile phone stabilizer of Insta360Flow series of the domestic intelligent imaging brand Insta360.

DockKit is a new API launched by Apple in iOS17 last year, which can combine the iPhone's motorized bracket with the camera. For example, DockKit can control the bracket of the base accessory, and track the position of the face and body appearing in the video frame through the camera.

Thanks to the DockKit intelligent subject tracking technology, when using the mobile phone stabilizer that accesses the DockKit protocol, it is not necessary to shake the lens or operate the joystick to easily lock and track the shooting object, and easily shoot more smooth and professional videos.

The DockKit engineer introduced that the multi-subject tracker in the iOS17 system can analyze iPhone images in real time, identify the main subjects (such as people or objects) and determine the tracking objects; it can also track multiple subjects in complex scenes. And in the iOS18 system, the DockKit team has developed a brand new advanced tracking pipeline, which can select and track the subject through the ML model.

In addition, upgrading to iOS18 system will be able to control the camera and gimbal through the Apple AppleWatch watch to further optimize the shooting effect. It will also support more shooting modes, such as the automatic tracking function in shooting, movie and other modes.
