Viltrox to Debut New AF28mmF4.5 Full-Frame Pancake Lens in Shanghai Expo

TapTechNews August 2nd news, today, Viltrox announced that it will launch a new AF28mmF4.5 VCM ASPH ED autofocus full-frame pancake lens product, with the closest focusing distance of 0.32 meters (about 1 foot) and using a VCM voice coil motor.

According to the introduction, this lens will be first exhibited at the Shanghai International Photographic Equipment and Digital Video Expo from August 7th to 9th, 2024. In June this year, Viltrox exposed a 28mm pancake lens patent, which looks quite similar to this 28mmF4.5 lens. Judging from the patent description, the new lens has electrical contacts and will be a full-frame lens that supports autofocus.
