GoPro's 15-year Milestone 50 Million Cameras Sold Globally

TapTechNews June 28th news, GoPro announced today that since the launch of the HERO sports camera in 2009, the global sales of GoPro cameras have exceeded 50 million units.

Based on selling 50 million cameras in 15 years, the average annual sales of GoPro cameras is approximately 3.33 million units.

Over the past 15 years, GoPro has launched 20 cameras with sales exceeding 1 million units, including multiple camera categories such as sports cameras and 360-degree cameras.

GoPro's full-year revenue in 2023 was $1 billion (TapTechNews note: currently about 7.285 billion yuan), a decrease of 8% year-on-year; the net loss was $53 million (currently about 386 million yuan), or a loss of $0.35 per share, compared to a net profit of $29 million in the previous year, or a profit of $0.18 per share.

GoPro sold 3 million cameras in 2023, a 6% increase year-on-year. Subscription and service revenue was $97 million (currently about 707 million yuan), an increase of 18% year-on-year.
