China's HarmonyOS NEXT Operating System Passes Privacy Protection Evaluation

TapTechNews reported on June 28 that the official of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology announced today that it has completed the evaluation work on the privacy protection ability of the HarmonyOS NEXT mobile intelligent terminal operating system.

The Tail Terminal Laboratory tested 38 indicators such as the HarmonyOS NEXT operating system framework, the entire life cycle of applications, and terminal control capabilities according to relevant standard requirements. After evaluation, the privacy protection ability of the HarmonyOS NEXT operating system meets the relevant standard requirements.

Officials pointed out that HarmonyOS NEXT is a new type of domestic independently developed mobile intelligent terminal operating system. Compared with traditional terminal operating systems, it can promote the improvement of terminal-side privacy and ecological management and control capabilities through technical means such as signature verification and access control, and further strengthen the protection of users' personal information.

At the HDC Huawei Developer Conference held on June 18, Yu Chengdong announced that HarmonyOS NEXT officially launched the developer Beta test.
