LiveCaptions is an accessibility feature in the Android system that detects the audio content played on the phone and automatically transcribes the relevant speech into subtitles in real time.

This feature is a very practical assistive feature for people with hearing impairments or who have difficulty hearing the content clearly in some usage scenarios.

One of the shortcomings of LiveCaptions is that the generated subtitles are displayed in a floating box and cannot be resized at present. Google said at the I/O conference that it will improve this experience. Google said that this feature will be launched in May, but today is already the 30th, and it still hasn't been launched. TapTechNews attached a screenshot as follows:

Although Google says that the new indicator bar of LiveCaption will allow users to customize the number of lines of subtitles displayed, it does not explain exactly how many lines can be displayed. The picture shared by Google shows four lines, but since two to three lines can already be displayed according to the font size, it is likely that more lines can be displayed.
