China Telecom's RISC-V Server Procurement Project Announcement

TapTechNews August 2nd, China Telecom today released the "China Telecom Research Institute 2024 RISC-V Basic Software Ecosystem Technology Research Project for Data Centers - RISC-V Server Procurement Project Inquiry Announcement", and the purchaser is the Beijing Research Institute of China Telecom Co., Ltd.

The announcement shows that the procurement content includes 4 RISC-V cloud servers and 3 RISC-V edge servers.

RISC-V is an open-source instruction set architecture (ISA) based on the principle of reduced instruction set (RISC). Compared with most instruction sets, the RISC-V instruction set can be freely used for any purpose, allowing anyone to design, manufacture and sell RISC-V chips and software.

RISC-V edge server - the response quote (excluding tax unit price) shall not exceed $4,400

If the respondent of this project issues other invoices:

RISC-V cloud server - the response quote (including tax unit price) shall not exceed $22,000
