TapTechNews July 12th, sources from TheVerge released a blog post yesterday (July 11th), exposing that speaker brand Sonos is developing a new soundbar product based on Arc, code-named Lasso, with completely redesigned components and speaker drivers, and will have better performance in aspects such as bass.
The report said that this product will become the first soundbar product in Sonos' portfolio to support Bluetooth audio playback and will be equipped with a dedicated Bluetooth button. In this regard, the function of this soundbar is the same as that of the new Era100 and Era300 speakers, but the physical microphone switch will still be retained.
The report said that the Lasso soundbar adopts a design similar to Arc and uses the advanced audio transducer technology of Mayht Company (which has been acquired by Sonos) to bring smaller and lighter components while retaining the sound quality.
In terms of price, the price of the Lasso soundbar may be around 1200 US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 8722 RMB), and it may be released before the end of 2024.
