TapTechNews user software media new friend 2168428 provided a clue! OnePlus announced the Android 15 developer preview plan this afternoon, and announced the open upgrade for the OnePlus 12, only recommending developers to try it out, not for ordinary users to flash this version. The OnePlus 12 Android 15 Beta is based on the Google Android 15 Beta system. The Android 15 developer preview version will adapt to the latest Google GMS package, and native functions duplicated with the GMS package will no longer be retained. After upgrading to Android 15 Beta, the phone storage will be formatted, and all data including music and pictures will be cleared, so developers should backup data in advance. The OnePlus 12 version needs to be 14.0.0.700 and below in order to upgrade to Android 15 Beta. Versions above 14.0.0.700 cannot be upgraded to Android 15 Beta, so please downgrade before upgrading through this flashing method. The specific flashing method is as follows: Back up data to a computer or cloud before performing a system upgrade on the phone; Download the Android 15 Beta upgrade firmware package from the PC side, and copy the upgrade firmware package to the root directory of the phone storage; Open the phone's settings-> About phone-> Version information-> Click the version number seven times in a row; Open the phone's settings-> About phone-> The top Software update card-> Click the upper right ⋮ icon-> Click Local installation-> Click the top left corner ≡ menu; Click the model name below-> Find the zip file at the bottom of the page, click and select Unzip now; Wait for the unzip to complete and click Install now; Wait for the phone to restart and successfully upgrade to Android 15 Beta. The current version system has the following known issues: Bluetooth connection has compatibility issues in some scenarios; Wi-Fi may not connect to the printer in specific scenarios; Smart unlock feature cannot be used; Some camera functions display abnormally in specific scenarios; Abnormal functions when cross-screen interconnection with PC, PAD in some scenarios; Compatibility issues such as some third-party apps crashing; Stability issues in specific scenarios; Software store crashes in specific scenarios; Probability of unable to open personal hotspot after modifying security settings; Failure of automatically blurring mosaic function in screen capture preview; ProXDR button does not appear after taking photos with the camera; Abnormal size of quick settings in the dropdown status bar after switching between QHD/FHD resolutions, can be restored to original resolution (path: Settings-> Display & Brightness-> Screen resolution choose QHD/FHD).
