Because the merchants had no way to appeal, they spontaneously gathered to go to Guangzhou to safeguard their rights on July 22nd and 29th.

Last night, Pinduoduo responded to the China Securities Journal that the platform will not earn the money from the merchants' violation fines, and if fined, it is also compensated to consumers. It is known that hundreds of Temu merchants gathered downstairs at the headquarters of Temu in Aoyuan Building, Panyu, Guangzhou on the 29th, and some merchants entered the office of Temu on the 25th floor. The reason for coming to safeguard rights and negotiate is that Temu frequently issues tickets.

According to many merchants, for a large number of goods with relatively low unit prices on Temu, they can actually enjoy the after-sales policy of 90 days of full refund if not satisfied without the need to return the goods. Consumers may file a return application because of the size of the goods not matching the actual size or there is a clear quality problem. Temu will not provide the sellers with evidence information such as the physical photos of the returned goods of these specific return orders to fully prove that there is indeed a quality problem with the goods.

The above policy makes the sellers who cannot get back the returned goods and are deducted several times the compensation amount unable to be convinced of the platform's judgment. Recently, Temu has also changed the after-sales judgment from the original processing once every several weeks to processing by day, and many merchants receive a large number of tickets every day.
