Nissan's Special Car Paint Reducing Interior Temperature in Summer

TapTechNews August 7th news, according to the report of Japan's Kyodo News Agency, Nissan Motor Company yesterday showed the media an empirical test of a special car paint, which can slow down the rise of the temperature inside the car under the hot summer sun, the surface temperature of the car body can be reduced by up to 12 degrees Celsius (about 21.6 degrees Fahrenheit).

This special car paint is jointly developed with the Chinese enterprise Radi-Cool (TapTechNews note: Ruiling, located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province). Compared with the conventional car paint, the surface of the car body can be reduced by 12 degrees Celsius, the headspace of the driver's seat can be reduced by 5 degrees Celsius (about 9 degrees Fahrenheit), and the time to reach the set temperature when turning on the air conditioner can also be shortened.

In the publicly disclosed empirical test on the same day, the vehicles coated with special car paint and conventional car paint were both exposed to the sun, and the surface temperature difference between the two was about 11 degrees Celsius.

According to the introduction, this car paint has a relatively thick paint film and is still under development and improvement, and will be considered for use in vehicles such as trucks and ambulances.
