Airlines to Reduce Fuel Surcharge for Domestic Flights in China

TapTechNews May 29th news, according to the China Transport News, starting from June 5th (ticket issuing date), airlines will reduce the collection standard of fuel surcharge for domestic air passenger transport:

For flight segments of 800 miles (including) or less, the fuel fee charged to each adult passenger: decreased from 40 yuan to 30 yuan.

For flight segments over 800 miles, the fuel fee charged to each adult passenger: decreased from 70 yuan to 50 yuan.

Infants priced at 10% of the adult regular fare are exempt from the fuel surcharge.

Counting the 50 yuan airport construction fee, each passenger on flight routes of 800 miles (including) or less will be charged 80 yuan for airport construction and fuel fee, and each passenger on flight routes over 800 miles will be charged 100 yuan for airport construction and fuel fee.

TapTechNews noticed that the fuel surcharge of air tickets has been adjusted many times in the past two years. The fuel surcharge for flight segments of 800 miles (including) or less has a minimum of 20 yuan and a maximum of 70 yuan; the fuel surcharge for flight segments over 800 miles has a minimum of 30 yuan and a maximum of 130 yuan.
