Ubisoft's Watch Dogs Movie Officially Starts Shooting

It is worth mentioning that Sony officially announced the Watch Dogs movie as early as 2016. According to the introduction, this film will be produced by NewRegencyPictures (such as Assassin's Creed, Bohemian Rhapsody, etc.), and produced by YarivMilchan and NatalieLehmann as well as UbisoftFilm&Television's MargaretBoykin.

After that, the news of this movie was intermittently spread until last month, when Ubisoft announced that the film version of Watch Dogs would start shooting sometime this summer.

Ubisoft's press release also disclosed that this movie will star Tom Blyth (Billy the Kid, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) and Sophie Wilde (who has appeared in the horror film Answer Me).

The film will be directed by French director Mathieu Turi, and TapTechNews found that he used to be the assistant director of Quentin's Inglourious Basterds and Luc Besson's Lucy, and has also directed the well-received horror films Hostile and The Lair, and the live-action series of A Plague Tale: Innocence is also directed by him.

The script was created by Christie LeBlanc (who wrote the 2021 Netflix sci-fi film Oxygen) and adapted by Victoria Bata.
