High-Tech Product Imports and Exports in the EU in 2023

TapTechNews October 4th news, according to CCTV News reports, the European Union's statistical office released the 2023 EU high-tech product import data on the 4th local time.

The EU imported high-tech products with a total value of 478 billion euros (TapTechNews note: currently about 3.71 trillion yuan) in 2023, a slight decrease (-1%) compared to 2022. The export of high-tech products was 461 billion euros (currently about 3.58 trillion yuan), with a year-on-year increase of 3%.

Data shows that in 2023, 32% of the high-tech products imported by the EU came from China , with a total value of about 155 billion euros (currently about 1.2 trillion yuan).

In the high-tech imports from non-EU countries in the EU, electronic and telecommunications equipment accounted for the largest share (39%), among which China is the largest partner. In addition, computers and office equipment and pharmaceutical products each accounted for 15% of high-tech imports, mainly from China and the United States respectively.
