New Fangchengbao Leopard 5 Model Spotted with Lidar, Cooperation with Huawei

The car is only covered with camouflage color film in some areas, and the overall appearance does not change much compared with the current model, but the most obvious difference is that a lidar is equipped on the roof.
The blogger said that the lidar version of Leopard 5 should be using the Huawei ADS 3.0 intelligent driving system like Leopard 8.
On August 27th, BYD officially announced that Fangchengbao has reached a cooperation with Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving, and the first launch model is the upcoming medium and large-sized hard-core SUV Leopard 8. The two teams have started to connect very early and have been developing for a long time. In the future, new models of the Fangchengbao brand will also be developed with Huawei.
BYD once said that in the overall planning of intelligent driving, it adopts a two-line parallel strategy: open cooperation and independent self-research.
According to TapTechNews' previous report, Xiong Tianbo, the general manager of Fangchengbao Automobile, once said during the 2024 Chengdu Auto Show that the cooperation between BYD and Huawei is just a starting point on Leopard 8. In fact, we will also have other models' cooperation being explored. Some work has already been advanced, and in the future, other products of Fangchengbao will also be equipped with different intelligent driving schemes of Huawei.
On July 29th this year, Leopard 5 officially announced a price reduction, and the current price range is 239,800 yuan - 302,800 yuan.
Exploration version: 239,800 yuan
Pilot version: 259,800 yuan
Yunian Luxury version: 279,800 yuan
Yunian Flagship version: 302,800 yuan
Compared with the previous price range of 289,800 yuan - 352,800 yuan, the price of all models of this car has dropped by 50,000 yuan.
