Purdue Robotics Releases First-Generation Humanoid Robot PUDUD7 with Impressive Features

TapTechNews September 19th news, Purdue Robotics today released the first-generation humanoid robot PUDUD7, which is designed based on bionic arms and an omnidirectional mobile chassis and can perform complex task operations in multiple scenarios.

TapTechNews noticed that PUDUD7 is expected to achieve commercialization in 2025. The robot is 165 centimeters (about 5.4 feet) tall and weighs 45 kilograms (about 99.2 pounds). The single arm span of the bionic arm reaches 65 centimeters (about 25.6 inches), and the whole machine has 30 degrees of freedom. When equipped with a dexterous hand, the degrees of freedom will increase to 50.

PUDUD7 has a human-like configuration. The bottom is equipped with general mobility. The chassis supports 360-degree omnidirectional movement with a maximum speed of 2 meters per second and can operate stably on a slope of up to 10 degrees. The battery capacity of D7 exceeds 1 kWh and can continuously work for more than 8 hours.

PUDUD7 has general operating ability and meta-learning interaction ability in the upper part and can perform complex tasks in multiple scenarios such as elevator operation, item handling and sorting. The load capacity of its bionic single arm reaches 10 kilograms (about 22 pounds), and the end repeat positioning accuracy can reach 0.1 millimeter.

Purdue Robotics integrates a variety of data-driven embodied intelligence and adopts a strategy of separating the 'big brain model' and the'small brain model' in the application of large models.
