Microsoft Changes Windows PC Product Category Name to Windows 11 AI + PC

TapTechNews July 12th, Microsoft's official consumer product account @Microsoft Talent Pool yesterday posted a blog post on Weibo and WeChat official account, announcing that in order to better welcome the AIPC era and help customers easily identify faster and smarter Windows PCs, the product category name has been changed to 'Windows 11 AI + PC'.

Microsoft on May 20, 2024, introduced to the world a revolutionary Windows PC category designed specifically for AI experiences, which is called 'Copilot + PC' in the international market and 'Windows 11 AIPC' in the domestic market.

Microsoft, in order to distinguish the difference between high-end devices (referring to devices with NPU computing power of more than 40 TOPS) and ordinary AIPC, therefore followed its name in the international market and added '+' in the name, and now it is called 'Windows 11 AI + PC'.

TapTechNews quoted the content of Microsoft's press release, these devices have advanced AI experiences such as real-time subtitles, enhanced Windows Studio effects, and the upcoming review feature, and are equipped with an NPU of 40+ TOPS (trillions of operations).
