TapTechNews noticed that Meta launched AIStudio on Monday, which allows American creators to build their own AI chatbots. Judging from Meta's official statement, the company seems to prefer this user-initiated creation method rather than the previously elaborately crafted star robots.

Meta spokesperson Liz Sweeney said that users will no longer be able to interact with AI characters based on stars. The company has learned a lot from the process of developing these robots and Meta AI, understanding how people use AI to connect and create. AIStudio is the evolution in this direction, providing the space for everyone, including individuals, creators and stars, to create their own AI.

Initially, Meta launched AI chatbots of stars including Charli D’Amelio, Dwyane Wade, Paris Hilton, etc., and planned to add more such as Bear Grylls, Chloe Kim and Josh Richards. But reportedly, Meta did not fulfill this plan. Previously, it was said that Meta paid millions of dollars to some stars for the right to use their portraits.

Although the star AI chatbots may not have met Meta's expectations, but the company still has full confidence in the future of AI chatbots. CEO Zuckerberg has repeatedly expressed his optimism about chatbots, and the Meta AI assistant has also been integrated into platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp.
