It is reported that this verification was jointly completed by Galaxy Aerospace and Mahidol University in Thailand. Through the ground test station and other facilities previously completed in Thailand, it was interconnected with China's low-earth orbit broadband Internet test constellation and a real-time satellite Internet video call demonstration was carried out. The whole process was connected smoothly and the call quality was stable, demonstrating the important guarantee role that satellite Internet can play in relevant scenarios.

According to the introduction, this verification has taken the first step in the overseas promotion and application of China's low-earth orbit broadband satellite Internet technology, providing a platform for local enterprises and universities to study low-earth orbit satellite communication systems, and will play a leading role in the upstream and downstream industries such as satellite manufacturing and satellite network construction and operation in Thailand in the future.

TapTechNews found that Galaxy Aerospace is a private enterprise focusing on low-earth orbit broadband communication satellite constellations, founded by Xu Ming, the co-founder/former president of Cheetah Mobile, and officially put into operation in 2018, and now its valuation has exceeded 10 billion RMB.

In October last year, Galaxy Aerospace successfully achieved the first domestic example of Terminal-to-Terminal (T2T) low-earth orbit satellite communication test on Lingxi 03 satellite.
