'Hunt Showdown' to Cancel PS4 and Xbox One support, upgrade to new consoles

The developer, Crytek, announced that 'Hunt: Showdown' will cancel support for the PS4 and Xbox One platforms after updating to version 5.11 on August 15th of this year, and subsequent players will be able to upgrade for free to the new PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions.

TapTechNews learned from publicly available information that this game landed on Steam and launched the early access version on February 22nd, 2018, and then landed on Xbox in 2019 and on the PS4 platform the following year. Currently, the positive rating on Steam is up to 82%.

David Fifield, the general manager of the 'Hunt' series, said that Crytek realizes that players still have 'hundreds of problems to solve', and said that the company plans to achieve this goal in the next few months through a series of updates and responses to problems. This will include weekly video introductions, which will introduce a brand-new game UX/UI design, technical upgrades and performance improvements, as well as the latest measures taken in anti-cheating.
