ROG AllyX features a black body and an upgraded ergonomic design. The device looks thicker, about 40 millimeters, which is thicker than the first generation Ally by about 8 millimeters. The thickness was measured by nail measurement because ASUS does not allow direct measurement of the prototype.

TheVerge also provided key specification information, one of which is that its memory capacity will be larger than the previous generation. Although ASUS has not disclosed specific details, there are rumors that the device will be equipped with 24GB of memory, higher than the previous 16GB. This aligns with the leak from Arsene Lupin, who also said the new machine will be priced at $799 (Note by TapTechNews: currently about 5769 RMB), $100 higher than the 2023 model.

In addition, Lupin also mentioned that the ROG AllyX uses LPDDR5X technology, meaning the memory performance is stronger. It is expected that this upgrade and increase in capacity will have a positive impact on overall performance, allowing players to allocate more system memory to VRAM.

ASUS has confirmed several key details about the ROG AllyX. The device retains the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, reportedly not using the non-Extreme version. In addition, it is equipped with a 7-inch 120Hz refresh rate screen, identical to the first-generation model. It is notable that the battery size has been adjusted, although the capacity has not been officially confirmed. Furthermore, the ROG AllyX introduces support for M.22280 SSD, providing users with expanded storage options.
