Apple terminates iOS Developer University Program

TapTechNews reported on May 16th that Apple has terminated the iOS Developer University Program on May 15th, according to official notifications on Apple's website and emails sent to program members.

According to TapTechNews, the program allowed university professors and other qualified instructors to create development teams of up to 200 students, who could create and test applications without paying the usual $99/year Apple Developer Program membership fee.

Apple did not disclose the reason for ending the iOS Developer University Program, but the company stated that certified educational institutions can still join the Apple Developer Program for free by submitting a fee waiver request.
