Valve Releases September 2024 Steam Hardware and Software Survey

According to the report, in the field of PC graphics cards, NVIDIA is in a leading position, occupying 77.75% of the market share, while AMD is 14.72%, and the remaining 7.22% belongs to Intel.

Specifically, the most used is the RTX3060, accounting for 5.86%, and the second-ranked is the RTX4060, accounting for 4.58%. TapTechNews attaches the top 10 as follows:

NVIDIA RTX3060: accounting for 5.86%, rose by 0.35% this month.

NVIDIA RTX4060: accounting for 4.58%, rose by 1.17% this month.

NVIDIA RTX4060Laptop: accounting for 4.37%, fell by 0.18% this month.

NVIDIA RTX4060Ti: accounting for 3.66%, rose by 0.76% this month.

NVIDIA GTX1650: accounting for 3.64%, fell by 0.27% this month.

NVIDIA RTX3060Ti: accounting for 3.57%, rose by 0.14% this month.

NVIDIA RTX3070: accounting for 3.31%, rose by 0.16% this month.

NVIDIA RTX2060: accounting for 3.30%, rose by 0.16% this month.

NVIDIA RTX3060Laptop: accounting for 3.00%, fell by 0.50% this month.

NVIDIA RTX4070: accounting for 2.91%, rose by 0.39% this month.

For AMD, the more popular graphics cards are RX6600, RX6700XT, and RX580 and other older graphics cards, which means that AMD RDNA3 architecture graphics cards are at a disadvantage in the competition with the RTX4000 series.

In the CPU aspect, Intel and AMD divide the market, with proportions of 66.6% and 33.4% respectively.

In the VR aspect, Meta's Quest2/Quest3 headsets jointly occupy 53.43% of the market share (36.17% and 17.26% respectively), the Valve Index headset occupies 15.65%, while HTC VIVE only occupies 3.80% of the share.
