TapTechNews October 3rd news, Amazon's Fire HD 8 (2024) tablet was officially launched today, with a starting price of $99.99 and an initial price of $54.99 (TapTechNews note: currently about 386 RMB) before October 9th (during Prime Day).
The 2024 Fire HD 8 maintains the same 8-inch HD display and the same processor as the 2022 model, upgrades to 3+32/4+64GB storage, supports 1TB microSD card expansion, is equipped with a 5MP rear camera, runs FireOS, and has a battery life of up to 13 hours.
In addition, Amazon has also introduced AI functions for it, including writing assistant, web summary, wallpaper generation, and so on. Amazon said that these AI functions will begin to be rolled out to all compatible Fire tablets later this month.
Amazon also offers a kids' version and a professional kids' version for the new Fire HD 8, equipped with a Disney-themed protective case and comes with an Amazon Kids+ subscription. The kids' version is reduced to $69.99 during the October Prime Day event (currently about 492 RMB), while the adult professional version has not been announced yet.
