Microsoft Releases Firmware Update for Surface Pro 7 with Security Improvements

The latest version of security updates includes:

Intel-SA-00923: Certain Intel® SPS firmware versions may have a resource consumption issue that an authenticated user may exploit via network access to launch a denial of service attack.

Intel-SA-00929: There is a race condition vulnerability in the BIOS firmware of certain Intel® processors that an authenticated user may exploit via local access to elevate privileges.

Intel-SA-00950: Certain sequences of instructions in Intel® processors may lead to unexpected behaviors that an authenticated user may exploit via local access to elevate privileges, leak information, or launch a denial of service attack.

Please note that this update does not apply to the Surface Pro 7+.
