TapTechNews May 16th, Geely Galaxy officially announced that the sales of its hybrid models exceeded 120,000 units in the first year, claiming to be the champion of hybrid car sales in China.
The official poster also mentioned that its two hybrid models - the SUV Galaxy L7 and the sedan Galaxy L6 - can enjoy a limited-time discount policy from April 26th to May 31st, with discounts of up to 25,000 yuan (~$3,900).
TapTechNews note: Geely Galaxy L6 is positioned as a compact plug-in hybrid sedan with an original price of 115,800 yuan to 149,800 yuan, and later launched the Longteng edition starting at 103,800 yuan (~$16,200).
Geely Galaxy L7 is a compact plug-in hybrid SUV with an original price of 138,700 yuan to 173,700 yuan, and later launched the Longteng edition starting at 125,700 yuan (~$19,600).
Geely Holdings Group's total car sales in April were 247,300 units, a year-on-year increase of 29%. The sales of new energy vehicles were 99,200 units, a year-on-year increase of 52%, with a new energy penetration rate of 40%. The sales from January to April were 986,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 28%. Among them, Geely Auto Group sold 153,267 units in April, an increase of about 39% year-on-year and about 2% month-on-month; new energy vehicle sales in April were 51,428 units, a 75% increase year-on-year and a 15% increase month-on-month; overseas export sales in April were 38,151 units, a 75% increase year-on-year and a 5% increase month-on-month; the cumulative sales by 2024 reached 628,987 units.
