TapTechNews July 11th news, recently the Beijing Municipal Market Regulatory Bureau organized the quality sampling inspection of electric bicycles and battery products. In this round of sampling inspection, 54 electric bicycle products were found to be unqualified, and the production enterprises involved 19 brands in Tianjin, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Hebei, Henan and other places. Currently, the unqualified products have been notified to be immediately removed from the shelves and are not allowed to be sold and registered in Beijing.
TapTechNews noticed that the 54 unqualified electric bicycle products found in this round of sampling inspection are 10 of Lvneng, 6 of Luyuan, 5 of Aima, 4 each of Five-star Diamond Leopard and Five-star Dark Horse, 3 each of Xinri, Baodao and Jinjian, 2 each of Tailg, Xiaoniu, Limal, Bond Fujida and Xinben Gangtian, and 1 each of Lvjia, Xiaoniao, Qianjiang, ShuaiPin, Tu'an Ge and Wuyang.
For these unqualified products, the Beijing Municipal Market Regulatory Bureau has taken 6 measures for control. They are:
Notify the market regulatory department of the district where the sales store is located to file a case for investigation and urge the sales store to immediately remove from the shelves to strictly prevent it from flowing into the market;
Work with the public security traffic management and ecological environment departments to delete the unqualified models from the Beijing Electric Bicycle Product Catalog and they are not allowed to be sold and registered in Beijing;
Notify the market regulatory department at the place where the production enterprise is located to strengthen source governance;
Notify the certification body to suspend and revoke the relevant product certification certificates according to law;
Notify the production enterprise to carry out rectification in time and suspend the application of its new models in the Beijing Electric Bicycle Product Catalog before the completion of the rectification;
Notify the Beijing Electric Bicycle Industry Association to strengthen industry self-discipline.
The Beijing market regulatory department reminds that when consumers choose electric bicycle products, choose the products in the Beijing Electric Bicycle Product Catalog; choose the products of regular brand authorized stores; choose the products with CCC compulsory certification mark; choose the products with the product certificate consistent with the vehicle information; choose the products with guaranteed after-sales three guarantees. Do not privately modify and install the battery, and do not use a mismatched charger; avoid charging the electric bicycle under extremely low temperature conditions in winter; avoid charging the electric bicycle under sunny exposure and high temperature conditions in summer, resulting in high temperature thermal runaway of the battery; avoid long-term charging, especially overnight charging resulting in overcharging of the battery. Regularly check the electric bicycle and battery, and when abnormal situations are found, go to the regular after-sales service outlets for maintenance in time to avoid bringing safety risks to oneself and others.
