TapTechNews reported on June 19 that just like AirPods or AirTag, Apple accessories such as the Magic Mouse also receive firmware updates from time to time to bring performance improvements. User X @aaronp613 first noticed this firmware update. However, TapTechNews noted that the process of updating the Magic Mouse and trackpad is rather difficult, or even impossible. Although the macOS system has some mechanisms to update Apple accessories, many users have found over the years that the firmware of these two devices has remained at the factory version. In other words, The new firmware will likely only be applied to newly manufactured hardware, and users of existing devices won't be able to get the update.

Of course, the content of this update is also unknown. Presumably, the new firmware may just fix some bugs and improve stability.
