AMD Investigating Cyberattack and Data Leakage

TapTechNews on June 19th reported that AMD Corporation released a statement yesterday indicating that they are investigating a cyberattack incident: "A cybercriminal group claims to have stolen data from AMD Corporation. We are working closely with law enforcement officers and third-party hosting partners to investigate this incident and the significance of the data".

Hacker IntelBroker started to sell AMD Corporation's data on the forum, claiming that it contains AMD employee information, financial files, and confidential information. He shared some screenshots of AMD certificates, but he did not disclose the details of the price and contact information.

The large computer company AMD suffered a data breach in June 2024. The damaged data includes: future AMD products, spec sheets, employee database, customer database, property files, ROMs, source code, firmware, and financial data.

According to DarkWebInformer, the threat actor also stated that this data includes an employee database that contains user IDs, last names and first names, job functions, business phone numbers, email addresses, and employment status.

IntelBroker was previously known for hacking into DCHealthLink, which led to the personal data leakage of US House representatives and staff, and triggered a congressional hearing.
