Dongfeng Mengshi 917 Jiaolong Armor Car Starts Pre-sale

TapTechNews June 17th news, Mengshi Technology officially announced that the Dongfeng Mengshi 917 Jiaolong Armor car has started pre-sale, with the pre-sale price $110,000 - $125,000.

This car is jointly named with the movie Jiaolong Operation (originally Red Sea Operation 2), and it is claimed to be the first movie joint car in China.

The car adopts a desert storm yellow military coating with a silver top contrasting color, as well as a vertical waterfall grille layout, a dragon teeth bionic shape, a fully enclosed rotor forged wheel hub, and a military vehicle-style front and rear wide-body wheel eyebrows.

The car uses aerospace-grade forged carbon fiber material, covering key points such as the front and rear metal bumpers, the front engine cover, and the roof expansion platform, and other configurations are the same as the original Dongfeng Mengshi 917.

According to TapTechNews' previous report, the declared information shows that the length, width, and height of this new car are 5052/2150/2059 inches (about 1283/546/523 cm) respectively, and the wheelbase is 2950 inches (about 75 cm), adopting a five-seat layout. Currently, the length, width, and height of the Mengshi 917 on sale are 4987/2080/1935 inches (about 1266/528/491 cm) respectively, and the wheelbase is 2950 inches. With the same wheelbase, the periphery of the Jiaolong Armor version is larger.

In addition, the car can be optionally equipped with wheel cover, side toolbox, roof platform, high beam assist lamp, front clearance lamp, rear clearance lamp, trailer hole, electrical connector and other configurations. This car adopts a 1.5T extended-range power system, and the maximum power of the extender is 145 kilowatts, which is the same as the maximum power of the 1.5T extender of the current model.

For reference, Mengshi 917 launched extended-range version and electric version in the domestic market, with the prices of $91,000 and $98,000 respectiv ely.
