Liu Qing said that in the next 20 years, China may need more than 8500 new civil aircraft and civil aviation services worth 550 billion US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 3.99 trillion yuan). The development potential of China's aviation market is huge. In the next decade, we predict that the scale of the entire operating fleet in China will increase from the current more than 4300 to more than 6000.

In terms of delivery, Liu Qing said: The recent progress has been very good and very smooth. We have now begun to resume the delivery of new Boeing aircraft to the Chinese market, including the 737max and the 787 Dreamliner.

Regarding the entry of COMAC C919 into the competition, Liu Qing said: COMAC has achieved some achievements, and we are also happy to see them achieve these results. Boeing has a very special relationship with COMAC, it can be said that we are both competitors and close partners.

Previously, Boeing and COMAC established a joint venture manufacturing center in Zhoushan, Zhejiang, which is also the only manufacturing center Boeing has established overseas so far.

According to public information, Liu Qing once served as the vice chairman of Ford Motor Greater China, the vice president of Ford Motor International Market Group and the general counsel, and the leader of Chrysler and Chrysler-Daimler. He joined Boeing in early 2022 and is responsible for leading Boeing's government relations team in China. Currently, Boeing's business in China contributes directly to the Chinese economy by more than 1.5 billion US dollars (currently about 10.89 billion yuan) every year. In September 2023, Liu Qing officially began to serve as the president of Boeing China.
