Apple to Release iOS18 Update with New Weather App Features

Apparent temperature

In Apple's iOS18 weather application, both the actual temperature and the apparent temperature are placed. The current actual temperature is displayed at the top of the weather application, and the apparent temperature will be displayed below the temperature.

The actual temperature is displayed in a large font, while the apparent temperature is displayed in a smaller font and a different color. For example, the screenshot below shows that the actual temperature is 92 degrees Fahrenheit, while the apparent temperature reaches 101 degrees Fahrenheit. Apple's design not only avoids the display of duplicate data, but also better attracts your attention.

Home and work locations

The second new function in Apple's iOS18 weather involves users' home and work locations.

Apple Maps in iOS has long been integrated with the Contacts App, which can extract home and work address information from the Contacts, so that these key addresses can be easily found in the map.

And in the iOS18 system, the weather application will also call the information in the Contacts and automatically add the address weather information of the user's home and work locations.
