Google Announces Gemini API Developer Contest with 'Back to the Future' Prize

TapTechNews May 15th News, Google announced at today's I/O 2024 developer conference that it will hold the Gemini API developer contest, with the grand prize being a electric version of the 1981 DeLorean car related to 'Back to the Future'.

In the latest video uploaded by Google, Christopher Lloyd, who played Dr. Emmett Brown in the movie 'Back to the Future', was invited. He invented the Flux Capacitor in the movie, making time travel possible.

The Gemini API developer contest hosted by Google is now open to individuals and teams, requiring them to use Gemini API to create applications and evaluate them based on five criteria: influence, significance, creativity, practicality, and execution.

The contest will also award cash prizes for the best Android applications, best web applications, and best games in different categories, and give out more lucrative cash prizes for the most useful, influential, and creative applications. In addition, there will be a 'People's Choice Award'.
