Currently, players can take screenshots in the game by pressing the F12 key (only for games that support the Steam Overlay), and then share them to the player's Steam community or social media. This function was officially launched after a brief test in 2011, and currently, each Steam account has 1GB of cloud storage space for storing game screenshots, game settings, save files, personal profile statistics and other information.

It is reported that the upcoming screen recording function will support background recording, and in some supported games, it will provide a timeline marking function to facilitate players to accurately record the highlights in the game. Similar functions have already appeared on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox, where these consoles can automatically record game clips when players unlock achievements. Djundik also shared some screenshots of the interface of this function:

Currently, Steam users need to rely on Microsoft's 'GameBar' recording function, third-party tools, or the video recording tools included in the NVIDIA and AMD graphics card drivers to record game videos.

More details about this function have not been announced yet, and TapTechNews will continue to pay attention and bring the latest news to everyone as soon as possible.
