TapTechNews on June 6th, according to a blog post by tech media 9to5Mac today, it has learned from multiple sources that Apple plans to adjust the repair and standard warranty policies for iPhone and Apple Watch this month, and will no longer include'single hairline cracks' within the scope of the standard warranty.

TapTechNews Note: Currently, for iPhone and Apple Watch users within the standard warranty period, if there is no obvious other damage on the device, or there is no obvious impact point causing the crack, then the screen shows'single hairline cracks' (single hairline cracks), and Apple official will provide corresponding warranty.

It is said that in the update that Apple distributed to Apple stores and Apple-authorized service providers this week, the repair strategy was updated, stipulating that all'single hairline cracks' are no longer within the scope of warranty and requiring service providers to handle them as 'accidental damage'.

This means that even if there is no other damage or impact point on your device, if you want to claim warranty through the official channel, you still need to pay the relevant fees. Currently, this change only applies to iPhone and Apple Watch, and Apple still repairs'single hairline cracks' during the warranty period of iPad and Mac.
