All-New BMW X3 Unveiled with Aggressive Design and Multiple Power Options

Compared with the official pictures, the real car appears more fierce and dynamic, and the overall shape is more aggressive than that of the previous-generation model. The all-new BMW X3 will be the first to go on sale in the European and North American markets, and other markets are planned to start selling at the beginning of next year.
TapTechNews noted that from the real car pictures, the all-new BMW X3 adopts a new central grid design. Under the sunlight, the reflective central grid looks very gorgeous. The chrome decoration of the central grid changes from a single direction to a two-way interwoven. After the daytime running lights are lit, it presents a shape of two double Ls, looking more profound. The front bumper is decorated with black lacquer surface, and the diversion grooves on both sides further enhance the sportiness. There are multiple lines on the engine cover, and the design shadow of BMW iX can be vaguely seen.
The rear part shows a wide horizontal visual effect. The Y-shaped taillights have extremely high recognition. The tailgate design is complex, and the lines outline a strong sporty atmosphere. The unique spoiler and black rear bumper further enhance the sportiness of the vehicle. The M50 model is equipped with four exhaust pipes on both sides. If it is matched with red car paint, the black and red color combination is even more eye-catching. The new car has dimensions of 4755/1920/1660 millimeters (about 187/76/65 inches) and a wheelbase of 2865 millimeters (about 112.8 inches), with a drag coefficient of 0.27 Cd.
In the interior design, the all-new X3 shows a younger design style. The center console uses high-quality materials with a simple style. The through-type dual-screen has become a signature design of BMW. The built-in BMW iDrive9 system comes with QuickSelect function, and the new car is also equipped with a head-up display system. The thick steering wheel appears very sporty, and the electronic gearshift design makes the multimedia control area and the gearshift area more refined, especially with the addition of the crystal knob. In terms of configuration, the new car provides wireless phone charging, Harman Kardon audio, electric adjustment, heating, ventilation and memory functions for the front seats, as well as heating for the rear seats, etc.

The 20xDrive has a maximum power of 208 horsepower (about 155 kilowatts), and the 30xDrive has a maximum power of 259 horsepower (about 193 kilowatts). The transmission system is matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The plug-in hybrid version adopts a combination of a 2.0T engine and a motor. The system has a combined maximum power of 299 horsepower (about 223 kilowatts) and a peak torque of 450 Newton-meters (about 332 pound-feet), and is equipped with a 19.7 kWh battery, which can provide a pure electric range of 81-90 kilometers (WLTP). The M50xDrive model is equipped with a combination of a 3.0T straight-six engine and a 48V motor, with a maximum power of 398 horsepower (about 297 kilowatts) and a 0-100 kilometers per hour acceleration time of 4.6 seconds.
