UBports Foundation Releases UbuntuTouch 20.04 OTA-5 Update with Enhancements and Known Issues

TapTechNews August 2nd news, The UBports Foundation released the UbuntuTouch 20.04 OTA-5 version update on July 30th, which is 6 months after the last OTA-4 update was released.

The UbuntuTouch 20.04 OTA-5 update is based on the Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa) update, and OTA-4 users can open the system settings application and jump to the update page for the update.

The UbuntuTouch 20.04 OTA-5 update mainly refines the power configuration file system and can distinguish between the sustained mode and the interactive mode on the supported devices.

In case of calendar synchronization failure due to authentication problems, the new version will notify the user and prompt the user to enter a new password if needed.

The UbuntuTouch 20.04 OTA-5 update also fixes the problems that occurred during the migration from Ubuntu 16.04 LTS to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

This version has some known problems, such as the WaydroidHelper application user's WaydroidStop application entry icon being damaged due to stability issues, and disabling the double-click wake gesture on some devices (such as Google Pixel 3a).
