TapTechNews note: The Longzhong Bridge is constructed by the Second Harbor Engineering Bureau of China Communications Construction Company, located in Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, with a total length of 4,454 meters (about 14,613 feet), and both main spans are 330 meters (about 1083 feet), belonging to the Xiangyang 207 National Highway reconstruction project.

The Xiangyang section reconstruction project of the 207 National Highway starts from Huangji Town, Xiangzhou District at the junction of Hubei and Henan provinces, passing through 5 counties (cities, districts) including Xiangzhou, Fancheng, Xiangcheng, Nanzhang, and Yicheng, with a total length of about 96 kilometers (about 59.65 miles). It is the ordinary highway construction project with the longest construction mileage, the largest investment scale, and the highest social attention in Xiangyang City.

The design of the Longzhong Bridge combines the historical and cultural heritage of Xiangyang. The main tower adopts an H-shaped structure with a total height of 201 meters (about 659 feet), and the upper crossbeam adopts a unique city wall design, highlighting the reputation of Xiangyang as the First City in China. Overall, it integrates Xiangyang's historical culture, development vision, and structural form.

Relevant officials said: The Longzhong Bridge is the core controlling project of the whole line. The successful closure of the bridge marks that the project has officially entered the final sprint stage. It is expected that the goal of opening to traffic can be achieved by the end of this year, and then it will effectively relieve the pressure of crossing the river in the Xiangyang section of the 207 National Highway.

After the completion of the Xiangyang section reconstruction project of the 207 National Highway, it can realize the separation of the 207 National Highway and the inner ring west line (Wolong Avenue) of Xiangyang City, effectively solve the problem of mutual interference between urban internal traffic and transit traffic, and improve the traffic capacity of the national highway.
