Samsung Galaxy A16 Only 5G Version, Similar Camera and Battery as A15, Release in Late 2024?

TapTechNews July 3rd. GalaxyClub, a tech media, posted a blog yesterday (July 3rd) sharing relevant information about the Samsung Galaxy A16 phone.

No 4G, only 5G version

The Samsung Galaxy A15 phone is divided into 4G (MediaTek Helio G99) and 5G versions (MediaTek Dimensity 6100+). Samsung is internally testing the Galaxy A16 phone, model SM-A166B, with only one 5G version and the price is below 200 euros (TapTechNews note: currently about 1565 RMB).

This indicates that Samsung has begun to promote its low-end models to also embrace 5G networks, and will further phase out the 4G phone product line in the future.

Galaxy A16 camera

The camera of the Samsung Galaxy A16 is not much different from that of the Galaxy A15. TapTechNews attaches the configuration as follows:

Samsung may release the Galaxy A16 phone by the end of 2024, but it is currently uncertain.
