Google's New TVStreamer Price, Release Date and Features

TapTechNews August 6th news, the source Dealabs posted a blog yesterday (August 5th), indicating that the price of Google's new TVStreamer product in France is 119.99 euros (TapTechNews note: currently about 135 US dollars), and as a comparison, the price of Google TV 4K with Chromecast is 69.99 euros (currently about 80 US dollars).

The source said Google plans to release this product today (August 6th) and officially go on sale in late September. Given the price difference, the source believes that this is not a successor product, but a new high-end streaming media product, and Google TV 4K with Chromecast will continue to be sold as an affordable product.

TapTechNews reported on July 23rd that the new Google TVStreamer set-top box uses a white color scheme and adopts an inclined style appearance, which is overall a bit like a wireless charging pad and is equipped with an HDMI interface.

The attached remote control is relatively longer than the previous generation, and at the same time, the volume increase and decrease buttons are newly added on the front, and the voice control button has been changed from the Google Assistant logo to a regular microphone icon.

In terms of the system, this set-top box will be equipped with the Android TV 14 operating system and is expected to be equipped with the Amlogic S905X5 processor. This processor uses a 6nm process and supports AV1 codec.
