In recent months, Tesla has suspended production at this plant several times, due to reasons including protest activities against plant expansion and supply chain disruptions. In addition, this automaker is also dealing with the problem of slowing demand - in the first eight months of this year, Tesla's registrations in Europe decreased by 16%.

According to the recording of an internal meeting last week, plant managers have already conducted home visits to employees on sick leave. However, reportedly, some employees refused the executives' home visits and even threatened to call the police.

Dirk Schulze, the regional director of Germany's largest industrial union IG Metall, said: Conducting home visits to Tesla employees is another absurd action taken by the plant in response to the long-term sick leave rate higher than the average level. Schulze pointed out in an email statement that Tesla employees reported that the workload is extremely high, and the management has pressured both sick and healthy employees to work overtime.

It is known that this plant of Tesla employs approximately 12,000 people and produces the Model Y, the best-selling passenger car in Europe last year.
