New iPad Pro Smart Keyboard Lighter and Thinner than Previous Generation

TapTechNews May 14th news, Apple recently released the Smart Keyboard for the new iPad Pro, with the 13-inch version priced at 2799 yuan (approximately $400) and the 11-inch version priced at 2399 yuan (approximately $340). The official statement mentioned that the new product is 'thinner and lighter' than the previous generation.

So, how much lighter is the new Smart Keyboard compared to the previous generation? Several iPad Pro reviews (including Jason Snell and Chris Lawley's reviews) have shown that the 13-inch Smart Keyboard weighs 667 grams (1.47 lbs).

However, some other media outlets conducted tests with different results. Brian Tong's review showed the 13-inch Magic Keyboard weighing 662 grams (1.46 lbs), while The Verge's review stated it weighs 658 grams (1.45 lbs).

Despite slight discrepancies between reviews, the new 13-inch Magic Keyboard is significantly lighter than the previous generation, which weighed around 710 grams (1.57 lbs).

The new iPad Pro with the M4 chip weighs 579 grams (1.28 lbs), lighter than the previous generation's 682 grams (1.50 lbs). TapTechNews provided the weight effects of wearing the Smart Keyboard:
