An internal employee of BYD's Japanese distribution system disclosed, At present, the internal is preparing for the launch work of the new 7-seat model (BYD Tang) to avoid affecting the target audience of the Seal. Recently, the 2025 BYD Tang pure electric version was the first to be launched in Europe, priced at 72,000 euros (TapTechNews note: currently about 565,000 yuan RMB), taking a luxurious and high-end route.

According to TapTechNews report, BYD's overseas sales of new energy passenger cars in August 2024 totaled 31,451 units, including 30,451 units for export.

However, the start time of BYD Tang, Qin and Han in Japan is still uncertain.
