In the first 8 months, the cumulative telecommunications business revenue reached 1.1732 trillion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 2.7%. The total amount of telecommunications business calculated according to the constant price of the previous year increased by 11.1% year-on-year.
In the first 8 months, the three basic telecommunications enterprises completed the revenue of Internet broadband services at 181.6 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 4.6%, accounting for 15.5% of the telecommunications business revenue, and the proportion increased by 0.1 percentage point compared with the first 7 months, driving the growth of telecommunications business revenue by 0.7 percentage point.
In the first 8 months, the three basic telecommunications enterprises completed the revenue of mobile data traffic services at 434.2 billion yuan, with a year-on-year decrease of 2%, accounting for 37% of the telecommunications business revenue, and the proportion increased by 0.1 percentage point compared with the first 7 months.
The three basic telecommunications enterprises actively developed emerging businesses such as IPTV, Internet data centers, big data, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things. In the first 8 months, they completed a business revenue of 289.7 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 10.5%, accounting for 24.7% of the telecommunications business revenue, driving the growth of telecommunications business revenue by 2.4 percentage points. Among them, the revenues of cloud computing and big data increased by 12.3% and 61.6% respectively, and the revenue of the Internet of Things business increased by 12.6%.

In the first 8 months, the three basic telecommunications enterprises completed the fixed voice and mobile voice business revenues of 12.94 billion yuan and 72.89 billion yuan, with year-on-year increases of 2.9% and -3.9% respectively, accounting for 7.3% of the telecommunications business revenue in total, and the proportion decreased by 0.5 percentage point year-on-year.
