Microsoft Releases Visual Studio 2022 with.NET 9 Support and AI Improvements

TapTechNews August 15th news, Microsoft Corporation yesterday released a press release announcing the release of the Visual Studio 2022 application development tool in the form of a public preview version, and added support for the.NET 9 open source development platform.

TapTechNews note: Microsoft released.NET 9 in February 2024 and is still in the public preview stage, mainly introducing many tools for cloud development and bringing many AI-related functions.

In the newly released Visual Studio 2022 v17.12 preview version today, Microsoft said:

.NET 9 enhances the development level of cloud-native and intelligent applications, focusing on improving productivity, simplifying deployment and accelerating AI integration to ensure that developers achieve excellent performance in various applications.

Visual Studio 17.12 fully supports.NET 9 development, allowing you to easily take full advantage of all the improvements it provides.

Visual Studio 2022 v17.12 preview version also includes some GitHub Copilot AI improvements specifically for the new Visual Studio version. Microsoft said:

By providing more context descriptions in the integrated development environment, you will find that with a more comprehensive understanding of the solution, the suggestions will also be more accurate.

Users combining the additional context description with more fine-tuned code generation can greatly enhance the coding experience.
