Air China To Purchase 100 C919 Aircraft

TapTechNews June 20th news, Air China Limited today announced the release of an announcement, declaring the signing of an agreement with COMAC, planning to purchase 100 C919 aircraft (extended range version), with a total price of approximately 10.8 billion US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 78.502 billion yuan).

Air China signed an agreement with COMAC on April 26 this year to purchase 100 C919 aircraft from COMAC. The aforesaid 100 aircraft are planned to be delivered in batches from 2024 to 2031.

According to the introduction, the basic price of each aircraft includes the price of the fuselage, additional components and engines. According to the latest catalogue price provided by COMAC, the combined basic price of the aforesaid 100 C919 aircraft is approximately 10.8 billion US dollars.

Through fair negotiation between the buyer and the seller, COMAC has given Air China a relatively large price discount for purchasing the aircraft, so the actual consideration of this transaction is lower than the aforesaid basic price of the aircraft. Air China will use its own funds, commercial bank loans and other financing methods to finance this transaction. Air China expects that this transaction will not have any significant impact on the company's cash flow situation or business operation.

TapTechNews previously reported that China Eastern Airlines signed the C919 Aircraft Purchase and Sale Agreement with the commercial company on September 28, 2023, to buy 100 C919 aircraft from COMAC. The aforesaid 100 aircraft are planned to be delivered to the company in batches from 2024 to 2031.
