Nintendo to Open Second US Store in 2025

TapTechNews May 25th news, Nintendo yesterday announced a plan to open its second official store in the US in 2025, named Nintendo San Francisco, and the location is on the west coast of the US.

Nintendo announced in the press release that it plans to open a specialty store in Union Square, San Francisco in 2025, inviting tourists and the nearby public to experience various Nintendo products.

Nintendo's first specialty store in the US is also located in a bustling area: the historic Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. TapTechNews note: The store opened in May 2005, two stories high, covering 10,000 square feet, and is a tourist hotspot for Nintendo fans, selling various goods, hardware and accessories in the past two decades.

Nintendo did not disclose more details about the upcoming store opening in San Francisco, nor is it clear whether the scale will exceed the existing store. It should be noted that Nintendo has opened some official stores in theme parks such as Universal Studios Hollywood, but this planned store is Nintendo's second independent store in the US, and the scale is likely to be much larger than its counterpart stores in the theme parks.
