Fujifilm Unveils GF500mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens for GFX System
On May 16, TapTechNews learned that Fujifilm unveiled the FUJINON GF500mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR medium format lens at today's press conference. Priced at $3499.95 (approximately 25270 Chinese Yuan), the lens is now available for pre-order internationally and will start shipping on June 17.
The lens offers a 396mm full-frame equivalent focal length, specifically designed for GFX system users and touted as the ideal choice for sports and wildlife photography. Official MTF charts have not been released yet.
Fujifilm also mentioned that the GF500mm f/5.6 lens has been finely tuned for portability, weighing just over 1375 grams, maintaining a relatively compact size compared to similar products. This is a significant advantage for handheld shooters, along with built-in six-axis image stabilization and a 1/4 tripod mount, providing 'maximum stability'.
