Apple Releases Security Updates for Old iPhones, iPads, and Macs

TapTechNews May 14th news, Apple released iOS/iPadOS 16.7.8 and macOS Ventura 13.6.7 updates today, focusing on launching March security updates for old iPhones, iPads, and Macs, fixing zero-day vulnerabilities in the kernel.

In a press release today, Apple stated that the vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2024-23296, exists in the RTKit real-time operating system and there is evidence that hackers have already exploited it to launch attacks. Hackers can bypass memory protections by exploiting the kernel's read-write capabilities.
