The First Optical Storage Supercharging and Discharging Comprehensive Energy Station in Guangxi is Built and Put into Operation

TapTechNews August 20th news, the Nanning Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment in Guangxi said that the Nanning Wuxiang Comprehensive Energy Station, the first optical storage supercharging and discharging comprehensive energy station in Guangxi, was built and put into operation, which was invested and constructed by the Guangxi Power Grid Company of China Southern Power Grid.

The official introduction of Guangxi Power Grid stated that this station integrates multiple vehicle-grid interaction technologies such as photovoltaic power generation, energy storage liquid-cooled supercharging, and V2G charging piles. The highest charging speed can reach one second one kilometer. The 7 15-kilowatt V2G charging piles in the station can reverse discharge for 2 hours, and the new energy vehicle can send back 100 kilowatt-hours of electricity to the power grid, which can meet the daily electricity demand of 12 households.

TapTechNews found that in January this year, four departments including the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Energy Administration, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued the Implementation Opinions on Strengthening the Integration and Interaction of New Energy Vehicles and the Power Grid, clearly stating that they will vigorously cultivate a new industrial ecosystem of vehicle-grid integration and interaction.

In May this year, Guangxi included new energy vehicle charging operators in the power market trading for the first time. A total of 6 operators participated in the low-valley power consumption trading on a trial basis and obtained incremental electricity compensation, and guided new energy vehicles to participate in peak shaving and valley filling of the power grid in the form of charging concessions. A total of 342,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity was traded during the low-valley charging period of new energy vehicles.

The official said that the Guangxi Power Grid Company of China Southern Power Grid has built a provincial-level edge cluster system, connected the Nanning Wuxiang Comprehensive Energy Station, the Liushan Comprehensive Energy Station of China Southern Power Grid in Guangxi and other new energy networks to the dispatching operation monitoring, and built the Guangxi source-load and vehicle-grid interaction aggregation platform, opened up the data channel with the edge cluster, and realized the flexible access of comprehensive energy stations and charging and swapping resources.
