PiecesInteractive Shut Down by EmbracerGroup

TapTechNews June 18th news, game developer PiecesInteractive today released a statement saying that the studio has been shut down by EmbracerGroup. The studio started its operation in 2007 and has launched more than ten games on PC, game consoles and mobile platforms, and the latest work is a remake of the survival horror game Alone in the Dark in 1992.

TapTechNews learned from the report that in the financial report for the fiscal year ending March 31, Embracer said that the performance of the remake version of Alone in the Dark was lower than the management's expectations. Subsequently, the Embracer Group announced layoffs.

The Embracer Group has closed this studio, and the official website shows that the active date of PiecesInteractive is 2007 - 2024. With the closing of PiecesInteractive, the number of studios that the Embracer Group has recently closed or reduced is also increasing.
